Today’s COTD is the 9 of Pentacles

Ooooh isn’t everything grand, isn’t it all lovely, isn’t it all lonely…

Materialism is great if that’s what you want in life, but sometimes we get so caught up in having the right things, we lose perspective on what makes us happy.

It’s all well and good having a gilded cage, but a bird longs to be free, to fly and explore and enjoy the world.

Be careful what trappings you give yourself, for you may just realise your gilded cage has locked itself tight.
